US BLM delays regulatory approval for Willow project on Alaskan North Slope

Anchorage—The US Bureau of Land Management said Tuesday it has pushed back its final approval for ConocoPhillips’ proposed Willow project in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska following changes in the project configuration by the company. The agency said it will prepare a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement, or SEIS, based on adjustments to the original proposal.
