China’s magnesium sees 5,000 mt surplus in Jan-May: CNIA

China had a national magnesiumsurplus of 5,000 mt in the first fivemonths of this year as the supply exceededdemand, data from China Nonferrous MetalsIndustry Association showed on June 15.China produced 320,000 mt magnesiumin January-May, of which 175,000 mt wasexported in the period, with domesticdemand of 140,000 mt in January-May, itsdata showed. The year on year comparisonwas undisclosed.
