Cobalt sulfate prices remained steady week on week, ahead of China’s annual Golden Week holidays (Oct. 1-8). S&P Global Platts assessed battery-grade 20.50% Co cobalt sulfate weekly prices at Yuan 53,000 ($7,805)/mt delivered, duty-paid China on Oct. 1, unchanged from Sept. 24. The market appeared to come to a gradual standstill as cobalt sulfate participants prepared for their upcoming week-long holiday. With many consumers having refilled their inventories in the weeks prior to Golden Week, demand was muted.
