Sao Paolo—Primary aluminum import premi- ums fell this week in Brazil as several sellers have been progressively shifting their focus to origins other than Europe in an attempt to be more competitive with domestic offers. S&P Global Platts CIF Brazil premium was assessed $5/mt lower at $147.50/mt plus London Metal Exchange cash, CIF main Brazilian ports, duty unpaid, exclusive of VAT (ICMS, PIS/Cofins and IPI), reflecting a $135- $160/mt range for 500-2,000 mt orders.
