Altura signs five-year lithium offtake with largest shareholder

Altura Mining has signed a fiveyear lithium offtake agreement with Hunan Yongshan Lithium Co., the subsidiary of its largest shareholder Ningbo Shanshan Co, starting in January 2021, the lithium miner said June 19. Under the agreement, Altura is due to supply the anode and cathode material producer with a maximum 30,000 dry mt of spodumene concentrate in 2021 from its Altura lithium project in Australia’s Pilbara region and a minimum 60,000 dmt a year over 2022-25.
