London—EU carbon allowances are likely to average Eur18.00/mt ($19.4/mt) in Q2 amid the coronavirus pandemic, then rally to Eur25.00/mt by Q4 as the market looks ahead to tighter balances, Germany’s Commerzbank said in a note Thursday.
