OM Holding’s Q1 ferrosilicon output down 10% from Q4 2019

Singapore’s OM Holdings’ 75%-owned Sarawak smelter in Malaysia produced 52,308 mt of ferrosilicon in January- March, down 10.3% from the previous quarter, amid measures implemented by the Malaysian government to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the company said Thursday. The smelter’s first-quarter manganese alloy output slid 15.8% from the previous quarter to 51,723 mt, the company said in its quarterly production update.
