Aluminum prices on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed mixed Aug. 28 for contracts from September 2020 to August 2021. The front-month September contract settled at Yuan 14,695/mt ($2,133), up from Yuan 14,650/mt on Aug. 27, but down from Yuan 14,710/mt on Aug. 21. The most active October contract closed at Yuan 14,605/mt on a traded volume of 512,770 mt. Total traded volume on Aug. 28 was 935,555 mt, up from 875,625 mt the previous session but down from 1.43 million mt a week earlier.
