London—Platinum group metals and chrome miner Tharisa with operations in South Africa’s Bushveld complex said Thursday production of chrome concentrates, excluding third-party production, in its second quarter rose 0.5% year on year to 310,100 mt but fell 9.5% quarter on quarter. The Johannesburg-listed company said chrome recovery fell 1.75% year on year during the quarter that ended March 31 and down 2.1% quarter on quarter to 61.8%.
