Americas Silver to boost output this year on higher prices

Production at Americas Silver dipped last year as the company withheld some output in response to lower silver prices. But a company official said Friday that, with prices predicted to rise in 2019, production should climb as well. Americas Silver expects to produce 1.6 million-1.8 million oz of silver this year, up from 1.4 million oz in 2018, Andrea Totino, in charge of investor relations for the Torontobased company, said in an interview. In 2017, it produced 2.1 million oz.
