摘要

The Arabian Sea is an important site of biogeochemical ocean-atmosphere transfers, which play a crucial role in regulating the atmospheric chemical composition and the earth's climate. Widespread denitrification resulting from an intense oxygen-deficiency at mid-depths in this region modulates oceanic Combined nitrogen inventory and consequently biological productivity. Due to a delicate biogeochemical balance the Arabian Sea is expected to be among the first to react to potential anthropogenic perturbations. [References: 48]
