Eastman to Boost Copolyester Capacity At Malaysian Site by Early Next Year

Kuantan— Eastman Chemical Co. announced plans to expand copolyester capacity at its Kuantan, Malaysia, site, with completion expected in the first quarter of 2018. The expansion will increase polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG) capacity at the site by approximately 20%. The company currently produces several copolyesters at Kuantan, including Eastman Spectar and Eastman Eastar PETG.
