Methanex Lets JM Technology Contract For Planned Geismar 3 Methanol Plant

Geismar-Methanex has awarded a technology contract to Johnson Matthey (JM) for its proposed Geismar 3 methanol project in Geismar, La. (PCN, 6 Aug 2018, p 1). The potential 1.8-million-t/y methanol facility would be located next to Methanex's existing Geismar 1 and Geismar 2 methanol units. A final investment decision is expected by mid-2019.
