ExxonMobil Inks Framework Agreement For Proposed Chem Complex in China

Beijing-ExxonMobil and the Guangdong Provincial People's Government have signed a cooperation framework agreement to advance talks of building a planned chemical complex in China in order to meet expected demand growth (PCN, 6 Nov 2017, p 2). The multibillion-dollar project, which would be located in the Huizhou Dayawan Petrochemical Industrial Park, would include a 1.2-million-t/y ethylene flexible feed steam cracker, two performance polyethylene lines and two differentiated performance polypropylene lines, based on advanced proprietary technologies.
