A. Schulman Stockholders Approve Planned LyondellBasell Merger

Akron—A. Schulman announced that its stockholders have approved the planned merger agreement with LyondellBasell (PON, 28 May 2018, p 4). On 15 Feb. 2018, the companies entered into a definitive agreement, under which LyondellBasell agreed to purchase all outstanding shares of A. Schulman for a total consideration of $2.25-billion. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of this year.
