摘要

In this study, the Platinum nanoparticles@ poly[4-methyl- 1,2-diaminobenzene/ multi-walled carbon nanotube] (Pt@ p-MDAB/ MWCNT) is synthesized and employed for the electrocatalytic oxidation of methanol. Morphological studies demonstrate that Pt nanoparticles have been distributed throughout the polymeric film without an agglomeration. The electrochemical studies exhibit fast kinetics (E-onset = 0.44 V), high CO tolerance ability (i(f)/i(b) = 8.53), and excellent durability for Pt@ p-MDAB/ MWCNT towards methanol oxidation reaction in an alkaline media. The simple, facile, and cost-effective synthesis manner and elevated electrochemical activity propose Pt@ p-MDAB/ MWCNT as the superb nanocomposite for modification of the anode for electrocatalytic oxidation of methanol.
