Zinc supply to turn to surplus in 2018-20, says Jiangxi Copper

Jiangxi Copper Corp. expects globalzinc supply to turn to surplus over 2018-2020due to anticipated growing output, both in Chinaand overseas, the major Chinese zinc producersaid in its December report on the sector.It forecast a global deficit of 210,000 mt in2017, but said that the market would turn into asurplus of 3,000 mt in 2018, rising to 167,000 mtin 2019 and 340,000 mt in 2020.
