SGX iron ore futures volume jumps 65% on uncertainties

Singapore—The Singapore Exchange said Monday that 157 million mt of iron ore futures traded on the exchange in February, up 65% on the month. Average open interest for iron ore futures gained 9% on the month to 63 million mt in February. Iron ore lump traded volume almost tripled in February to around 2.5 million mt from 870,000 mt in January, according to SGX.
