Turkish import scrap prices steady on fresh Benelux, US bookings

London—Deepsea Turkish import scrap prices held steady on July 1, after an Iskenderun mill was heard to book two cargoes from Benelux and US sellers. S&P Global Platts assessed Turkish imports of premium heavy melting scrap 1/2 (80:20) at $255/mt CFR on July 1, unchanged on the day. A Benelux-origin deal totaling 35,000 mt was booked July 1 by an Iskenderun mill, with 25,000 mt HMS 1/2 (75:25), 12,500 mt PNS, and 2,500 mt shredded scrap at $252/mt CFR average. The deal was confirmed by the sell side, with first-half August shipment.
