BmO sees weaker than forecast vale iron ore shipments

London—Miner Vale may see lower-than- forecast iron ore production this year and in 2020, after factoring in lower shipments in Q4, investment bank BMO Capital said in a report Monday. BMO said it reduced Vale’s iron ore shipment forecasts by 3% in Q4 2019 to 83 million mt and by 7% in 2020 to 343 million mt, in a note. Vale is expected to release further details on its businesses and outlook at an investor event in New York Monday.
