Turkish import scrap down a touch on lower resistance

London—Import prices for Turkish scrap ticked down a touch on Monday as some sell-side sources were slightly less firm in their price expectations. S&P Global Platts assessed Turkish imports of premium heavy melting scrap 1/2 (80:20) at $292/mt CFR Monday, down 75 cents/mt from Friday. While there was little change in the position of Turkish buyers, which still targeted a price of $290/mt and below in their August shipment procurement, some sell-side sources have slightly lowered their price expectations.
