Tokyo—Australia’s Nickel Mines has restarted production at its Hengjaya mine in the Sulawesi island of Indonesia on improved weather conditions, a company said Tuesday. Mine operations were suspended on June 2 after heavy rains and the mine was restarted on Saturday (June 15), its company secretary Richard Edwards said. Production of nickel pig iron at Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park, or IMIP, located 12 kilometers away from the mine, has not been affected, Edwards added.
