NZ coal miner Bathurst sees 2019-20 sales up on year

Sydney—New Zealand coal miner Bathurst Resources posted total coal sales from assets at 1.75 million mt in fiscal 2018-2019 (July-June), up 17% from the year prior, and forecast 2.36 million mt of sales in the current fiscal year, the company said Tuesday. Exports –- coming via the company's Stockton mine –- are expected to total 1.25 million mt in the current fiscal year. Of the 2018-2019 sales, approximately 62% was for export via Stockton, a spokesman said. This equates to about 1.09 million mt.
