Talos Launches Appraisal Program at Mexico’s Zama Field

US-based independent Talos Energy has launched its appraisal drilling program for the Zama discovery offshore Mexico, to assess the size of what is considered one of the world’s largest shallow-water discoveries in decades. The company says that on Nov. 29 it spudded its Zama-2 well, to the north of the Zama-1 discovery well drilled last year.
