EIA: Permian Pipe Pain Cuts Into US Oil Growth

The US government has cut its estimates for the country’s oil production growth this year by more than 100,000 barrels per day, the latest sign that midstream bottlenecks in the Permian Basin are having a real impact. The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) expects domestic crude oil production to average 10.68 million b/d in 2018, according to the latest edition of the EIA’s Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO).
