Cabot Sells Eagle Ford Assets

Cabot Oil & Gas said Wednesday it would sell its assets in the South Texas Eagle Ford Shale to Venado Oil & Gas for $765 million. The assets include 74,500 net acres in the play that during the third quarter of 2017 produced nearly 15,700 boe/d in Frio and Atascosa counties. The sale will transform Cabot into a pure-play Marcellus Shale producer when it closes on Jul. 1, 2018.
