The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has signaled that it will work up a more industry-friendly version of the Clean Power Plan (CPP), an Obama-era policy cracking down on carbon emissions in the electricity sector. In a regulatory schedule for 2018 published last week, EPA said it will "solicit information on systems of emission reduction and provide notice of the agency's interest in developing a rule similarly intended to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from existing fossil-fueled electric utility generating units."
