US Crude Output Tops 9.7 Million b/d

Weekly oil production in the US topped 9.7 million barrels per day for the first time, according to data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) stretching back to 1983, with crude output in the lower 48 states also rising to an all-time high. EIA data show that US crude oil production increased by 25,000 b/d during the week ended Dec. 1 to 9.707 million b/d, representing the fifth consecutive week that US oil output has established a new peak (OD Nov.30’17).
