International oil companies (IOCs) interested in Abu Dhabi’s second upstream licensing round showed up in force in the emirate on May 22 amid indications that fiscal terms are likely to be tough, industry sources say. Numerous prequalified players from Europe and Asia were present for what is understood to have been the only scheduled road show so far presenting technical and commercial details for the five blocks on offer.
