Repsol Inks Joint Venture Agreement With Alliance Oil in Russia

Repsol YPF signed an agreement Tuesday to form an $800 million joint venture with Russian independent Alliance Oil to expand its presence in the world’s leading oil and gas producing nation. The Spanish major also revealed that it bought 10% of its share capital from its largest shareholder, debt-laden construction firm Sacyr Vallehermoso, to protect the value of its stock.
