Venezuela Output Slips Below 400,000 b/d

Venezuela oil production has officially slipped below 400,000 barrels per day, as the country’s upstream sector falls further into disrepair and leading operators continue their mass exodus. Venezuela reported to Opec that its output totaled 392,000 b/d in July versus an estimate from secondary sources of 339,000 b/d, Opec said in its Monthly Oil Market Report. The country’s production data directly reported to Opec has typically been more optimistic than that from secondary sources, which is comprised of data collected from six private sources, including Energy Intelligence.
