FERC Veteran to Lead LNG Division

The US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has named a veteran staffer and fire safety specialist to lead its new Division of LNG Facility Review & Inspection (DLNG). Andrew Kohout has been appointed the first director of the division, which was announced in July 2019 as part of a reorganization of FERC’s Office of Energy Projects. In addition to the new division, the reorganization will see FERC open an office in Houston to have staff members closer to the Gulf Coast, where most LNG projects are located.
