Gazprom Neft Wins Tax Breaks Alongside Rosneft

Gazprom Neft has apparently man- aged to secure support for financial incentives for its part of the massive Priobskoye oil field despite President Vladimir Putin’s decision to ban any new tax breaks for Russia’s fields. Rosneft previously secured large tax breaks for Priobskoye, and now Putin has reportedly agreed to extend similar support for Gazprom Neft as well, although the changes have yet to be made into law. Both producers de- velop different parts of the field, and Gazprom Neft boss Alexander Dyukov has said it would only be fair if the oil arm of state-controlled Gazprom re- ceives the same support that Rosneft procured.
