Govt reimposes curbs on beach sand mineral exports

About 20 years after it opened thedoors for the private sector inbeach sand mining, thegovernment has now taken awaytheir right to export minerals on theirown through a gazette notificationand introduced a canalisationsystem. Players in the sector calledthe policy "myopic" and said theirexports Rs 4,000 crore per annumwill be hit hard.
