Abstract > In this paper, a triband planar shared‐aperture antenna array is proposed. The proposed antenna array could obtain similar‐shaped radiation patterns at three operating frequency bands. The total structure includes two radiation patch layers, a ground layer and a feeding network layer. Metal vias are used to excite the stacked patches, leading to three resonant frequencies. To verify the proposed antenna array, a 4 × 4 prototype with the overall size of 6.4 × 5.3 × 0.7 cm 3 is fabricated and measured.
