Bill Whelan, who founded the warehouse companies Metro and Istim, is stepping into base metals trading with a new company, Bengal Commodities Ltd, Metal Bulletin has learned.The new company, which relocated from Bermuda to London last month, is owned by the Whelan family trust, which also owns London Metal Exchange-registered warehouse company Istim. Istim is run by one of Bill Whelan's sons, Michael.
