IOC port workers OK labor deal, end strike

Port and railway workers at Iron Ore Co of Canada (IOC) have agreed to a new labor contract with United Steelworkers union Local 9344.The move ends strikes that had hampered operations at the iron ore miner and pellet producer for more than two months."We are pleased with the outcome of this new agreement and it highlights what we can accomplish when we work together on solutions," IOC president and chief executive officer Clayton Walker said in a statement on Tuesday May 29.
