Codelco’s copper production falls to three-year low in Feb

Production of refined metal at Chilean copper major Codelco fell by19.3% year on year in February to mark the lowest monthly outputsince January 2016, according to Chile’s state copper commission,Cochilco.Codelco produced 115,100 tonnes of refined copper in February,compared with the 142,600 tonnes produced in the same month oflast year.On month-on-month basis, February’s output was down by 9.5%or 12,100 tonnes from the 127,200 tonnes produced in January amiddisruptions at the company’s Chuquicamata operation.
