Seaborne iron ore prices fell on Thursday August 1, tracking a downtrend in the futures market. Prices for the steelmaking product retreated for a second day, with market participants attributing the dip to an absence of buyers. Some traders said that buying interest among mills remained very limited. Of the trades that took place, most were concluded between trading houses.
