The export market for flat steel products from the Commonwealth of Independent States was calm during the week ended Monday July 13 on low demand, sources said. Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for steel hot-rolled coil, export, fob Black Sea, CIS was $395-410 per tonne on Monday, down by $5 per tonne from $400-415 a week before. “Demand almost does not exist because everyone has stocks and don’t want to book a long time in advance on high uncertainty where the market could turn the next day,“ one trader from Turkey said.
