IRON ORE DAILY: Expectations of colder weather drive steel product demand, seaborne iron ore prices

Seaborne iron ore prices were up slightly on Monday November 2 amid strong demand for steel products, sources told Fastmarkets. The most-traded January contract in the Chinese iron ore futures market on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) inched up by around 0.8% from the closing price on Friday. On the Singapore Exchange (SGX) the most-liquid November and December contracts for 62% Fe swaps both went up by $1.40 per tonne and $1.20 per tonne respectively compared with the opening price, as of 6:20 pm Singapore time.
