Turkish steel producer tests coking coal market again

Turkish steel producer Kardemir is understood to be back in the market for up to 0.30 mt of coking coal, according to domestic sources. Kardemir is looking for a combination of mid-vol (most likely from the United States) and low-vol material from the US or Australia, for a loading laycan in the fourth quarter of 2019. Kardemir also recently tested the market for up to five cargoes of US or Australian material. The Australian cargoes can be Capesize or in a Panamax. The US cargoes are Panamax only.
