Heavy congestion persisted across Chinese metallurgical coal discharging ports this week. The average daily number of queued vessels across the main ports was 50, equivalent to around 5.24 mt of coking coal, in the week of 25 September-1 October, down from a daily average of 55 in the previous week, according to IHS Markit Commodities at Sea.
