摘要

German power demand continued to fall over the past two weeks as lockdowns across Europe due to COVID-19 dented demand from industrial users, while mild weather limited domestic heating. Both coal- and gas-fired margins declined with gas plants margins slipping into the red again over the fortnight. Average power demand in Germany has fallen by 10% in the past two weeks compared with the five-year average, according to IHS Markit analysis. Demand is expected to stay weak as industrial users predict a slow recovery and household demand is hit by warmer temperatures.
