Indonesian coal output eases further in August

Coal production in Indonesia fell 21% year on year in August to 43.02 mt, from 54.47 mt, provisional statistics from Indonesia’s Directorate General of Minerals and Coal (DGMC) show, as of 10 September. August eased slightly from the 43.57 mt produced in July, and is the weakest performing month for output since May, at 41.85 mt. Total output in January-August was 368.55 mt, down 10% from 408.53 mt mined in the corresponding period of 2019.
