The configuration of a bin-picking application is not only complex and time-consuming, but also demands knowledge of robotics and the relevant programming. With Mikado ARC (Adaptive Robot Control), the "dip in the bin" can be automated quickly and simply, IDS tells us. Workpieces can be defined using CAD data, the robot application is parameterised via a graphical operating surface. With a software simulator, the application can be tested for faults without risk and optimised before being taken into service.
