The Bangladesh Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) closed its import tender for 300,000 mt MOP on May 24, according to market sources. The lowest 14 offers (totalling 310,000 mt) for volumes of 5,000-30,000 mt are reported at $283.94- 296.70/mt CFR Bangladesh from local players with product sourced from Canada, Russia and Belarus.The MoA tender is for Bangladesh’s private-sector supply for the 2018/19 fertilizer year and calls for delivery by October with a possible extension to November 15. Dada Sourcing and Rabiul Islam both offered 25,000 mt MOP at $283.94/mt CFR with product from Canada, according to sources. The next four lowest offers were also for Canadian product and fell within the range of $284.47-288.38/mt CFR.
