Indonesia: Ammonia supply limited in May/June

Indonesian ammonia availability is reported tight in May/June, with most product allocated for contract commitments. Additionally, Kaltim-1 is currently under a 25-day turnaround limiting supply. Parna Raya continues to run at rated capacity and is sold out of ammonia for May and June. Shipments to India, Thailand and China will be carried out against prior commitments, with a 10-15,000 mt parcel to Thailand sold on a spot basis under a formula pricing arrangement. A growing number of market participants report that the 660,000 mt/year PAU Sulawesi ammonia facility will begin commercial operations in July, and not in the second half of May as per earlier suggestions. Marketing-arm Mitsubishi has not commented further on the start-up date.
