Bahrain/Kuwait: GPIC back, PIC plants to close

GPIC reports that the turnaround at the ammonia and granular urea installations in Bahrain was completed April 25. Loading of urea from the plant will however only recommence May 15 when final security/safety checks are complete. The PIC ammonia and granular urea plants at Shuaiba in Kuwait will continue to operate in May to fulfil pending urea commitments from Kuwait and Bahrain via long-term agreements, but the Shuaiba units will close permanently on May 31.
