The trends of sharply lower US ammonia imports and higher exports was unchanged through the end of March 2018, according to the latest US Department of Commerce data. March 2018 US ammonia arrivals were 385,880 st (350,068 mt), a decline of 14% from 448,071 st (406,487 mt) during March 2017. These volumes brought the July 2017-March 2018 imports to 2.73 million st (2.48 million mt) from 3.52 million st (3.2 million mt), a year-over-year decline of 23%.
